“I
Am From” Poem
I am from English speaking
parents and brother Jason that I see everyday in Port Coquitlam
My grandma Hilde and auntie
Monica that I visit from time to time in North Vancouver
I am from my Xbox 360 that I
see in my basement on the cabinet
From 2 Televisions that I see
on the main and bottom floor of my house
I am from my goldfish that I
see everyday in the kitchen
Lots of food that I see my
mom cook everyday
I
am from “you have 5 seconds to come upstairs” that I hear when I stay downstairs
to long
From
stomping noises coming from the main floor that I hear from my basement
I am from car’s zooming by
that I hear from outside
Gas coming from the stove
that I hear when the flame turns on
I am from dishes banging from
the kitchen that I hear when we take or put the dishes away
From winds and storms that I
hear from my bedroom window
I am from oatmeal chocolate
chip cookies that I can smell coming from the oven in the kitchen
From Nature that hits my nose
coming from the wonderful environment
I am from shampoo that
smell’s so sweet
Dessert that I can smell from
the restaurant Red Robin or my grandma’s house
I am from exhaust that reeks
so badly
From my grandma and mom that
smells so sweet
I am from my Halo 4 xbox 360
controller that I touch everyday so I can play
My binder, which I carry and
use for Riverside Secondary School
I am from my bed that I lay
on everyday so I can get peaceful sleep
My couch, which I sit on and
rest after school
I am from water that I drink and
rinse my body with everyday
My fridge and freezer, which
I take food from so I can eat
I am from yummy peppermint
and chocolate icecream, which I love to eat
Chocolate cake that I enjoy
putting in my mouth
I am from amazing shakes that
enlighten my taste buds when I drink them
From delicious juicy
cheeseburgers that I eat very, very slowly
Sweet pears that I eat with a
folk
I am from Pancakes, which I
eat for breakfast, most days
